 Anne Nicholson

Program Developer & House Mother 

Anne leads the children in Creative Expression (movement, dance, storytelling, art, etc.). She is also the House Mom, which means being here early in the morning and giving out a lot of love and band-aids every day! Anne has a BA in visual art and cultural anthropology and coursework towards an MBA in nonprofit management. Her passion is helping each child recognize their individual gifts and inspire their unique imagination for the future of the earth and humanity.



Devin O’Connor

Assistant Program Director

Devin O’Connor has joined the farm as Assistant Programs Director.  He has much experience with kids through service trips to different Native American Reservations, working with the camps at Triangle Rock Club, and organizing his own after-school wilderness programs.  He also helps with our digital media and marketing.



Montana  Keller  

Garden and Farm Manager

Montana is a native to the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina and has been working in organic agriculture and horticulture for over 7 years. She has a passion for growing organic produce and helping others learn to enjoy and understand all that gardens have to offer. Her daughter Sophia has been growing food with her mom since day one and will be joining Montana in the educational garden full time.



Sadie Hoffman  Garden and Farm Manager’s Assistant



Spence Dickinson  

Program Director, Business Manager, Mentor,  Founder

Spence has been working with kids since 1976,  33 years on this farm.  He is a Vietnam Vet, in and out of the school of Education at UNC, has been riding horses since he was 10.  His Uncle Joe Dickinson mentored him through high school at his camp, Camp Natchez Trace, in Franklin, TN where Spence was challenged to be the most improved camper. Spence was inspired by his uncle’s contribution to children and to his community.
