*Daily themes:  At 8:30 each morning Spence starts a conversation with the campers, Jr Mentors and Mentors present on the subject of the days theme.  Some have called it a lecture, but it is a conversation if you participate and listen. It goes in interesting directions that usually have to do with living life and getting the most out of it now.  Some are really engaged, some are not, but week after week the themes are the same and over a period of time most campers get a good understanding of each theme. Repetition is a good way to learn.

Monday – Partnership

Tuesday – Communication

Wednesday – Goal setting & Decision making

Thursday – Personal Responsibility

Friday – Breakdowns, Law of the Universe, When things don’t go your way! Breakthroughs come from Breakdowns

Our campers are divided into Rainbows, Trailblazers, Tweens, Beginner Horse Immersion, Intermediate Horse Immersion and Junior Mentors.

At one time, family, friends and neighbors took an active responsibility in raising children.  They were given the title of Aunt, Uncle or Grandparent. As a trusted guide and wise teacher, this vital relationship helped young people become positive contributors in the larger community.  We have re-created this family farm environment with our Mentors and Junior Mentors so your family can experience the same values young people did back then, the main ones being working together (partnership) and being responsible.  The reason we have chosen our Mentor/Counselors is because of their life experiences and knowledge, and their ability to be positive role models for children.
